How it works

- One hour per person, so nobody waits
- Appointments can be booked up to three weeks ahead
- Changes or cancellations - at least 24 hours before
The first time
The first visit is an assessment and takes about an hour. Come with your child and with what worries you - there is nothing else to prepare.
For now, appointments are made by phone only. At least that way you know who you are speaking to.
If you are not sure how to start
Most parents dread the phone call more than the therapy itself. There are no right words. Any of these is a fine opening:
- Hello, my child is three and says very little. Is it too early to worry?
- My child gets stuck when they speak. Will it pass on its own?
- Nursery told me to see a speech therapist, but I am not sure what to ask.
- I just wanted to ask something, not book anything yet.
Hello. Tell me how old your child is and what you have noticed - I will ask the questions from there. If it turns out all is well, I will say so, and I will not book you in.
